IIT Indore Admission Process
IIT Indore admission process includes the application process, selection round, cutoff, merit list and counselling. The step-wise admission process is given below:
Step 1: IIT Indore Application Process
Candidates seeking admission at IIT Indore are required to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. For example, for BTech, candidates are required to apply for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced application. Similarly, for the MSc, IIT JAM application form is required to be completed.
Step 2: Selection Rounds
IIT Indore admits students to BTech courses on the basis of JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores. Candidates are allotted seats in JoSAA Counselling for BTech, BTech-MTech (Dual Degree) and BS courses. Admission to MTech is through GATE followed by COAP Counselling. The institute considers IIT JAM and CCMN Counselling for MSc courses. Candidates can check with the admission office for the selection rounds of the rest of the courses.
Step 3: Release of Cutoff list, Counselling & Admission Confirmation
The cutoff for BTech, MTech and MSc courses is released by the respective counselling bodies. For merit-based courses, IIT Indore will release the course-wise merit list on its official website. As per the merit list, candidates are called for counselling for seat allotment. Shortlisted candidates and then required to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.

Merit based Scholarships
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC and ST students:
- The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme is specifically offered to the financially weak SC/ST category students enrolled in the 1st year of the B.Tech programmes.
- Students whose annual family income is less than INR 4.5 lakhs from all sources are eligible for the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme.
Merit Cum Means Scholarship:
- The MCM Scholarship of IIT Indore is most popular among the students of the B.Tech and M.Sc programmes.
- However, the number of MCM Scholarships is restricted only to 25% of the students admitted.
- In order to be eligible for the MCM scholarship, the general category students should have an annual family income of INR 5 lakhs and INR 8 lakhs for the students of the OBC category.
- The merits of the entrances and 12th standard are also considered for the selection of the scholarships at IIT Indore.
